In "Coconut Beach", Ortaire de Coupigny captures the essence of a tropical shoreline, where smoothly worn rocks meet the shimmering water. Using his signature engraving on transparent epoxy, the artist creates a layered interplay of texture, light, and shadow, immersing the viewer in the quiet, meditative atmosphere of a secluded coastal scene.
The composition balances between solid and fluid elements—the rough textures of scattered stones contrast with the gentle ripples of water, enhanced by delicate washes of deep blues and greens. The transparency of the medium allows light to filter through, reinforcing the sense of depth and movement, as if the tide is subtly shifting the landscape before our eyes.
A remarkable fusion of sculptural engraving, painting, and conceptual landscape art, Coconut Beach transports the viewer to a place of tranquility, making it a perfect addition for collectors of contemporary nature-inspired artworks, engraved transparency, and coastal landscapes.
