Tokonoma II - Hiroshi Soga

For the second edition of Tokonoma, the gallery presents an installation by Hiroshi Soga, a Japanese artist whose work is remarkable for its consistency and for the unusual range of traditions it brings into relation.
Within the tokonoma, the installation becomes a concentrated field where transformation, interdependence, and the cycles of nature are made visible.
Titled Mizu, the work evokes water and the continuous movement through which life is renewed.
This installation enters into dialogue with two essays published by the gallery: The Butsudan Painting and the Cave of Lascaux and The Painting as a Game of Go.
Inquiries from collectors, curators, and institutions are welcome.
