Tatōshi Envelopes for Shikishi Boards

This set includes 10 traditional Tatōshi envelopes, designed for the storage, protection, and presentation of shikishi boards. 

Made from Unryū washi — a fibrous, translucent Japanese paper — each envelope features a soft green cover and a central white washi panel, traditionally used to write the title of the artwork enclosed within.
 
Selected in collaboration with a board maker in Mino, Japan, these Tatōshi reflect the same care and intention found in the shikishi themselves. They are ideal for artists and collectors who value not only the work, but the way it is handled, stored, and offered.
 
Far more than packaging, the Tatōshi invites a gesture of respect—framing the shikishi not only as a surface for expression, but as a complete artistic object.
