In The Lighthouse Keeper, Ortaire de Coupigny brings a solitary pink fish and a lighthouse together within an opened mackerel tin. The fish’s mottled surface and metallic accents catch the light against a pale background, while the lighthouse rises at the opposite end, beside the rolled-back lid.
The title invites an imaginary connection between these two inhabitants of a miniature coastal world. An everyday container becomes both a frame and a place for a small, enigmatic encounter.
