Latitude Parallel - Original sardine-can artwork by Ortaire de Coupigny
Latitude Parallel presents two painted fish aligned side by side within a sardine tin, their bodies suspended in a translucent resin that suggests measured depth rather than movement. The horizontal composition recalls the logic of mapping and navigation, where position is defined by alignment and distance rather than destination.
The work reflects a balance between observation and structure, where parallel forms coexist along the same course. Ortaire de Coupigny transforms an everyday container into a compact maritime space, where color, matter, and silence coexist.
