Yves Millet is a French contemporary artist known for his atmospheric pastel paintings. His work blends abstraction and evocation, using layered soft and oil pastels to capture the shifting light, colours, and textures of landscapes and seascapes. With more than fifteen years of artistic and academic experience in South Korea and strong ties to Japanese art traditions, Millet’s compositions draw from East Asian aesthetics, favouring suggestion, empty space, and the poetic balance of form and colour.
