Tokonoma

Tokonoma is a recurring invitation centered on a single work selected for its capacity to inhabit the gallery’s alcove.

Each presentation introduces a primary work and a responsive element within the architectural frame of the tokonoma, where subdued, lateral light shapes the perception of surface and proportion.

Open for two consecutive weekends, the program privileges presence, scale, and silence.
