With engraved transparent resin and delicate color accents, Birds of Wisdom by Ortaire de Coupigny presents a tranquil yet mysterious scene of two ibises standing near a reflective water source, surrounded by dense foliage. The intricate engraving technique, developed through the artist’s years of experimentation with transparency and light, lends an ethereal glow to the composition.
Shades of deep blue and earthy greens evoke the stillness of a secluded wetland, where nature unfolds in delicate layers. The two ibises, long associated with wisdom and contemplation in various cultures, appear as silent observers of their environment. The finely etched lines of plants and trees merge with the water’s surface, creating an immersive interplay between engraving, painting, and depth.
A perfect addition to contemporary collectible art, Birds of Wisdom embodies Ortaire de Coupigny’s signature blend of sculptural engraving, natural themes, and atmospheric storytelling, making this original artwork a compelling choice for collectors and art enthusiasts alike.
